Welcome to Cedar Hill Country Estate in beautiful Calvert County!

This property was part of the original plantation patented in 1670 as Mile’s End by John Bigger. In the 19th century, the property had passed through several hands and history, earning not only its name but the spectacular manor and gardens that it is today. Cedar Hill is perhaps the last remaining example of cruciform domestic architecture still standing in Maryland. This “cross shape” house is characterized by a gabled porch tower or vestibule in the front of the house, two wings and a rear stair tower. Surrounded by 75 pristine acres and authentic in its restoration as a “living museum” by the current owner, James Dale Davidson, it is the perfect setting for any special occasion.

Cedar Hill Country Estate reflects tradition, history and elegance for your event. Less than an hour from Washington DC, Baltimore, MD and Annapolis, MD, five luxurious rooms for overnight accommodations can house your guests in a delightful setting rich in luxury and tradition. Our professional event planner will assist you in every step of the process to create the perfect occasion—corporate, private, or social -- for you and your guests!
